Rodeo Dental and Orthodontics (www.rodeodental.com) is looking to add a Senior Graphic Designer to support ROX Central. While this opportunity has the specific location listed, if this is a traveling position please know the location can be in any one of the other coordinating locations since this will be an opportunity where the incumbent will be constantly traveling between offices. Senior Graphic Designer Career Opportunity: 

We are looking for a passionate Senior Graphic Designer that is skilled in concept art, illustrations, and art direction! Do you want your artwork to have meaning and benefit people? Would you like your creative output to be attached to a set of core beliefs that reflect the underlying fabric of an amazing culture? Bring us your smile DNA and BIG personality! 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Create stellar concept art for characters and creatures ranging from loose exploration sketches all the way to fully rendered designs
    • Create unique illustrations and set pieces that deliver dynamic colorful shapes and visual punch!
    • Create eye-catching and visually stunning marketing collateral for both external and internal campaigns
    • Design alternate variants of existing characters, creatures and set pieces
    • Work closely with the Creative Director and 3rd party vendors on the design and implementation of new concepts, designs and set pieces
    • Prepare artwork files for different print applications ranging from banners and backdrops to apparel
    • Art placement and layout with the following:
      • Production on new and existing internal documents, cultural pieces, and promotional pieces
      • Business cards and promotional collateral such as postcards, flyers, and newsletters
      • Document layouts for presentations and proposals as needed
      • Edits and updates to miscellaneous company documents as needed
    • Design fun educational pieces and instructional kits
    • Contribute to creative meetings and overall team culture passionately
    • Continuous effort to identify new design trends and inspirations that can help boost the artistic and creative level of the brand
    • Assist the Creative Director with all Rodeo Dental creative goals and objectives
    • Performs all other duties as assigned; and,
    • Ability to communicate clearly with team and doctors – This is KEY!

Qualifications

  • Some Mad Art Skills! – Have a strong background in traditional art skills and demonstrate an understanding of fundamentals like three-dimensional space, composition, perspective, proportion, scale, value, and color.  You’d need at least 3 years’ experience to be have these Mad Art Skills.  This position will require long periods of time sitting and long periods of time in front of a computer.
  • Technical Martial Arts Mastery – Kung Fu expert with design software tools like Illustrator, Photoshop, Zbrush, InDesign and any other art program that brings your awesome work to life! Also, it would help if you have an AA in Graphic Arts & Design, but this is preferred.
  • Takin’ Care of Bidness! – Understanding the business side of creating artwork is important, too! Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint/Keynote and Word is a big plus when the time calls for it.  To be on par here, you must also have excellent reading, writing and communication skills.
  • Creative Contributor – Get into the mix and have the passion and drive to see our team succeed by being proactively capable of presenting new and fresh ideas that are applicable to our goals and objectives – or even present new opportunities.
  • Obsessive Organization Habits – Staying on top of updating project tasks and taking notes is the sign of a true professional. Also, keeping a nice, tidy, and up-to-date project file structure for all saved projects is the mark of a true curator. 
  • Problem-Solving Power Player – We solve creative problems here daily and the ability to provide solutions to all creative struggles is greatly valued! 
  • “Action Star” – Adaptability & Dexterity. A flexible disposition capable of not just accepting critical feedback but embracing it! This role requires persons to move “on-the-fly” and pivot quickly when a concept veers in a different direction.
